An office in Khubvi, open all night
Cudos Funerals has served Vhembe families since 2024 from 159 Ditike Street, and travels the country to bring people home.
Dedicated to serve you and your loved ones
Cudos Funerals is a family-run funeral business in Khubvi, outside Thohoyandou. We sell funeral cover, arrange burials, carve tombstones, and travel across South Africa and beyond to bring people home to the village.
The office does not close. A death does not wait for business hours, so someone answers the phone at two in the morning as readily as at two in the afternoon — and the person answering lives here, in Vhembe.
Everything from the first phone call to the day the stone is unveiled is handled by the same office. There is no call centre, and no file passed to a company in another province.
What you can hold us to
Four promises. If we fall short of one of them, phone the office and say so.
We answer
Every day of the year, at any hour. Not an answering machine and not a queue — a person in Khubvi.
We say the price first
The monthly payment and the waiting period are on the page, next to each other, before anyone has to ask.
We do the paperwork
Death registration, burial orders and transport permits are our work, whether or not you hold a policy.
We finish the job
The tombstone is part of the plan, not an extra. We come back to install it and to arrange the unveiling.
The legal part, said plainly
Funeral cover sold in South Africa is an insurance product. It must be underwritten by a licensed insurer, and sold by a licensed financial services provider. Those details belong on this page, and they are published here in full.
